This was a fascinating BBC interview.
Social media originally started as a voice for people to connected to each other.
Today’s it’s about “influencers”, AI, culture wars, and advertising.
Nobody uses it to connect to people much.
I guess this is why I'm here on blogger.
Blogs aren’t short form, so you can say what you want better. It’s also less contentious and argumentative for the most part, more social. Mind you, we all get a little miffed over something every now and then.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, it's also a little quieter,
DeleteSocial media is getting more and more aggressive and angry. The bots seem to be taking over. I used to like reading everyone's different opinions and it gave me food for thought, but I am gradually getting away from it all as it is tiring to filter the truth from untruth. Thanks for sharing the video, it is very interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise. I agree.
DeleteSocial media sure has changed. Good video.
ReplyDeleteEveryone just fights on social media now.
ReplyDeleteYep. It's too stressful.
DeleteThere are no constraints. At one time, WH Smith considered Private Eye and Playboy went too far for them to stock.
ReplyDeleteI don't do 'social media' just blogger!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
All the best Jan
