In my previous post, I mentioned climbing up the steps to the top of Sacre Coeur; and enjoyed an incredible panoramic view of Paris.
At the top, there is a huge Basilica. It’s stunning architecture, inside and out. Peaceful, with beautiful details.

Entry into the Basilica.
Cupola from below.
Wonderful mosaics, Byzantine influence. From wiki:
The mosaic over the choir, entitled The Triumph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is the largest and most important work of art in the church ... The mosaic is composed of 25,000 enamelled and gilded pieces of ceramic, and covers 475 square meters, making it one of the largest mosaics in the world.
In Paris, I took a photo below of the Rue Foyatier.
It’s quite a famous escalier (see wikipedia page) after the Sacre Coeur visit:
The Rue Foyatier is a street on the Montmartre butte (“outlier”), in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. Opened in 1867, it was given its current name in 1875, after the sculptor Denis Foyatier (1793–1863). One of the most famous streets in Paris, it consists of flights of stairs giving access to the top of the hill, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, and the other attractions of the upper-Montmartre neighborhood. The Montmartre funicular runs alongside it.
I recently saw a “walkthrough” of the New York Met, and I decided to make videos of things I come across.
