I last went to the British Museum just as Covid was starting but before the lockdowns. It was the drawings of Piranesi I believe. I took tea and cake on the upper floor café looking down to where you were sitting. Also very nice. Rachel
That is literally the ultimate treat. There is something so iconic about a Bakewell, that almond and jam combo is just perfection. Enjoying a slice at the British Museum feels so sophisticated and chic, like a total main character moment. The lighting in that photo looks so cozy too. It’s the perfect way to take a break after wandering through all those massive galleries. Sometimes you just need a little cake and a quiet moment to soak in all that history, right?
Looks good to me along with the coke although I am a Diet Coke guy. May I assume that the other drink is water?
ReplyDeleteYep. 👍
DeleteLove the Hokusai Wave on the paper cup!
ReplyDeleteIn fact, may I use this photo in my next "Homage to Hokusai" post? (with credit to you as photographer and a link back to your blog, of course).
DeleteOf course, don't have to ask. 👍
