I think the above conduct of the IDF with respect to the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza illustrates the chasm between Hamas and the IDF.
Firstly, the IDF evacuated civilians, patients and medical staff. The IDF was protecting the Gazans from Hamas.
Then, the IDF focused on stamping out these terrorists.

It is not Israel that has forced the patients to leave - it is the evil use of the hospital as a military base from which to attack Israeli troops that is the operating cause.
What is Israel to do? Leave the hospital alone and let Hamas consolidate there, and let its enemy use the laws of war and morality as a cudgel to destroy Israel and kill its inhabitants?
Israel is doing the right thing here and is a moral exemplar to the world - insisting on doing the right thing no matter the misplaced criticism it gets.
Israel is caught between a rock and hard place by the modern tactical use of innocent civilians as human shields, that's for sure. The only ones in a worse spot are those innocent civilians, the ordinary people of Gaza dying or starving in a pitiless, brutal war.

Israel has picked her military targets based on what they do (as per above), while in genocide, the victims are defined by who they are.

Liam, my husband is in regular connection with Gaza and believe me what happens there is a carnage. The Hamas attack was a horrendous crime , but what is going on now is the systematic killing of Palestinians with the justification that there were Hamas members. I do not want to persuade you. I just know what's happening in Gaza.

Israel is doing in Gaza what the RAF and the US Air Force did in bombing the cities of Nazi Germany, and for the same reason. The only difference is the extraordinary lengths Israel goes to to minimize civilian casualties, which your post gives examples of. Almost any country, of subjected to a horrific atrocity like October 7, would have reacted far more ruthlessly than Israel has.
